            The College has two undergraduate majors of Marine Science and Atmospheric Science, both originating from Physical Oceanography and Marine Meteorologyestablished in 1958. Through decades of evolution and development, the influence and talents of teaching personnelhave been greatly improved.There has also been a great change in teaching requirements as well as the scale of training.


            Main courses of Marine Science: Higher Mathematics, Physics, Probability and Statistics, Mathematical Physics, Theoretical Mechanics, Hydromechanics, Oceanography, Marine Survey and Observation Techniques, Physical Oceanography, Satellite Oceanography, Marine Environmental Factors Calculation, Atmospheric Physics, Dynamic Meteorology, etc.


            Main courses of Atmospheric Science: Higher Mathematics, Physics, Probability and Statistics, Mathematical Physics, Theoretical Mechanics, Hydromechanics, Synoptics, Atmospheric Physics, Dynamic Meteorology, Atmospheric Sounding, Statistical Weather Forecasting, Numerical Weather Prediction, Oceanography, Marine Research Internships. Students gain skills mainly through training they receive during internships with campus weather forecasting, domestic meteorological stations and interschool exchanges.
